Early springtime…business portraiture & young 'uns 🎂

Each season brings different flavors of photography.  It’s something I’ve come to understand in these first five years of owning my own business.  I have found this early springtime season to be filled with young families, children celebrating milestones and business photography.  Here is a sample of what that looks like for Focus Photography.

This awesome chiropractor in Spring Lake Park was looking to update his website’s “About the Doctors” portrait as well as take some new shots to promote products within his office.  I won’t post any of our final shots with him holding….nothing….since that might look a little strange!Another fun early spring session I often see are young families and children who are celebrating a milestone.  While I can do these sessions any time of the year, we often end up outside in the warmer months.  This is what an early springtime session often turns out to be.  I hope my clients feel like the attention they get with their young children makes it worth it to trade an outdoor session for sincere smiles (and dimples!)

I’m not quite finished with the editing for this 1 Year Old + Family session, but here is a cutie shot and also one image that will probably end up being an outtake.  But, I love it because it’s so real.  🙂

Sometimes those kiddos aren’t super happy at first to be having their pictures taken.  Ever had that experience?  But, ask mom and dad to have THEIR photo taken and then suddenly the kiddos want to be in the picture!  Can’t wait to show them the rest of our images from that day.
