An afternoon with Khalia…

Our next Class of 2020 Focus Senior Send Off is the beautiful and sweet Khalia of Woodbury High School!

I love the sameness and the uniqueness of each of my senior sessions! The sameness of each senior getting to do this milestone photography shoot to mark their moment in time. The uniqueness of each senior…what makes them tick and who they are. That’s why it’s important for me to personally meet with seniors before their session. To get to know them a bit. To understand what they like (and don’t like) and how I can make them feel most at ease in front of the camera when we meet for photography day.

At Khalia’s Senior Information Meeting, I learned that she “actually likes school” 🤩, that this would be her first photo session, that she plays an instrument, and that she enjoys American Sign Language and hopes to work in that field someday. So, with that in mind, I did some research and we decided on places to highlight music and American Sign Language…you’ll see!

We rounded out our time in St. Paul to catch a little nature. It was sweet getting to meet mama and little brother who got to blow some bubbles for her. And I think I should make it mandatory for every senior going forward that they bring a photo of themselves as a kiddo to their session. 😊

(oh, I did I mention? She’s a fan!)

All the best to you!
