Every High School Senior Session is highly personalized.  We want to capture who YOU are right now….after all, that’s kind of the point of a senior photo session, isn’t it?

And that takes some “gettin’ to know ya”.   At our initial meeting, this lovely senior let me know that she loves nannying and enjoys being in her hometown.  With all of the many interesting location choices in our area, she chose to keep it close to home.  Well, who could blame her when you have such beautiful landscape so close to home!

One of things that I love most when doing senior sessions is getting to tag along on this mother/son or mother/daughter experience.  I say “mother” only because I’ve not had a father/daughter/father/son duo yet, but I’m sure it would be similar.  Obviously, it’s a special occasion for our young ladies and gentlemen.  But, as a mom myself, I also realize what a special time it is (another one of those coming-of-age things) for the parent who gets to participate.  And it’s always a little moving to hear the interaction.  This mom/daughter team was no exception.  Laughing and joking…and sharing boots.  🙂

Part of the planning process involves learning what kinds of locations and poses that you like in addition to things like “how many clothing changes can we fit in?”, “where will I change clothes?”.   Sometimes we need to get creative here, but for this session on a cool, clear evening where all of our locations were within walking distance, it was easy breezy!
